Nutella Filled Pumpkin Streusel Cake with Chai Spice Glaze


For the streusel topping:

2/3 cup unsalted butter
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/3 teaspoon salt
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
**1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
**1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
**1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup of canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/2 cup melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 large egg, room temperature
1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt (I used nonfat)
1 cup of Nutella
1/4 cup of chopped pecans *optional for topping

Chai Spice Glaze:

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
*1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
*1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
*2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
*1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons milk, depending on desired texture
1 tablespoon of butter, melted
