¾ cup sugar
1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin, such as Knox
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1, 6 ounce package fresh raspberries (about 1⅓ cups)
¼ cup pomegranate seeds
3 sheets of 23-karat gold leaf (optional)
