1 sweet onion

3 cloves garlic

1 sprig rosemary

5 cups chicken broth, preferably homemade

1/4 cup half and half, organic and locally sourced (optional)

Juice from 1 lemon

sea salt, to taste

fresh ground black pepper, to taste
