Ingredients:


1 pound regular tofu
1 tablespoon doubanjiang
1 teaspoon Chinese salted black beans (also known as dou-chi and fermented soya beans)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sichuan peppercorn or peppercorn powder
1 tablespoon cooking oil
3 spring onions white part and green part chopped separately
2oz chopped beef or pork
2 garlic chopped
1 inch root ginger finely chopped

Water starch:

1 tablespoon water
2 teaspoons corn starch
